Actor, Twin Peaks
James Marshall is an actor who was born and grew up in New Jersey, when his family relocated to Los Angeles. After graduating high school, James focused on acting and began taking classes. Accepting small acting parts while working in a pizzeria and as a messenger, James struggled to make it in Hollywood until he got his big break when director David Lynch cast James in a new series entitled Twin Peaks.
Best known for his role as James Hurley in the 90s cult classic hit series Twin Peaks and its prequel, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, James appeared in the movie Cadence with Martin Sheen and later with Cub Gooding Jr. in the boxing film Gladiator. Director Rob Reiner later cast James as Marine soldier Private Louden in the critically acclaimed film A Few Good Men starring alongside Tom Cruise, Demi Moore, Jack Nicholson, and Kevin Bacon.
In 2017, fans rejoiced when a new Twin Peaks series began on Showtime and James revived the role of James Hurley who returns to the small town of Twin Peaks nearly 30 years later. In 2017 at the San Diego Comic Con, the Twin Peaks panel in the famous Hall H was packed to capacity with fans of the surreal series.
In addition to his acting, James is also an accomplished musician and author.
